ADOS™-2

Overview

Overview

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Editionis an observational assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). It is a semi-structured, standardized assessment of communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviours. It presents various activities that elicit behaviours directly related to a diagnosis of ASD. By observing and coding these behaviours, you can obtain information that informs diagnosis, treatment planning, and educational placement.

Key Features:

  • Clear and explicit administration and coding instructions with updated Protocol Booklets
  • Revised algorithms for Modules 1 through 3 to provide a more uniform basis for comparing results across the three modules used with children and young adolescents
  • The ability to assess toddlers who do not consistently use speech with a Toddler Module for children aged 12 to 30 months
